Vancouver Camps at Simon Fraser University or University of British Columbia

Are you ready for natural beauty and plenty of outdoor adventures? Vancouver is where you will find it!

Vancouver, the host of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, is considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in Canada. It’s been rated the 3rd best city in the world to live in (Source: Economist, 2016). Located on the Pacific Ocean, it’s surrounded by lots of beaches, mountains, and nature. With a population of 2.5 million, Vancouver has lots to offer. This includes three professional sports teams, major theatre, and music events/festivals.

In the winter, you can enjoy mild temperatures (0-15 C) within the city but plenty of snow on the ski hills. This makes it a great location for an active teen winter camp. Tamwood’s City Centre winter camp is operated out of the Tamwood Language Centres campus in downtown Vancouver. Campers take classes on campus and do activities in and around the city.

Summer camps in Vancouver are located at the Burnaby Campus of the prestigious Simon Fraser University, at the summit of Burnaby Mountain overlooking beautiful Vancouver. Downtown is a short 25 minutes from campus.

Another summer camp in Vancouver is hosted at the picturesque Point Grey Campus of the renowned University of British Columbia (UBC). This campus is nestled on the western tip of the Point Grey Peninsula, offering breathtaking views and a serene environment. Downtown Vancouver is just a quick 10-kilometer drive away, making it easily accessible for camp participants.

Campers will do a variety of structured, cultural, recreational, social, and sightseeing activities each week. These activities, events, and excursions can be grouped into four categories—Day Time (Creative, Sports, Teambuilding, Waterfront, or STEAM), Evening, Excursions, and Optional. Please refer to our weekly schedules for the Vancouver Camp to see which activities and excursions are offered each week.
