News from the Campus Manager
Here's a summary of what's happening at school this week (May 5th - 8th).
Monday – Tamwood is happy to welcome 20 new students! All new students should be at school by 8:30. If you are a new student, please check in with Emma, Tamwood's Campus Manager, or Tamwood's receptionist, Thera. New students should join Allison for the city tour. The city tour starts at 1:50 and takes about an hour.
Activity: Free English lesson - Our Study Hall with Allison is from 3:30 - 4:30pm in the Grouse classroom. Tuesday – First full day of classes for new students. You will receive your textbook from your grammar teacher and don't forget to do your homework!!! If you are looking to travel a little, Club ESL will be in the lounge at lunchtime to take reservations to great local destinations. Activity: Movie Night in the Tawmood lounge - The Golden Compass (with free popcorn). Wednesday – If you're graduating this week, come and meet Emma in the Whistler classroom at lunchtime to receive your graduation form. If you aren't graduating, please stop by the round table at lunchtime to get information about trips to the Rocky Mountains etc. with WestTrek Tours. Activity: The rain has finally stopped for long enough to stretch our legs and enjoy some football, er, soccer, ah…you know what I mean. Thursday – Remember to give your completed graduation form to your Block 1 teacher. Don't forget to study for your test and practice your presentations! Activity: Aquarium - See this fabulous collection of under-water life, including gorgeous beluga whales! Friday – Graduation day!Come see your fellow Tamwood students graduate. Thank you for choosing Tamwood. We'll miss you! Activity: Spaghetti Factor - This is one great restaurant of value, taste and fun. Join all your friends for a dinner you'll not soon forget.
