Situated on 135-acre wooded campus and only 7 miles from the downtown core of Boston, Curry College is a great location not only for its beauty but also for the safety and security that it provides for our Summer Camp. The campus is right next door to the Blue Hills natural reservation, which offers breath taking views and many kinds of outdoor recreation opportunities. Boston Incorporated in 1630, Boston is one of America's oldest cities. It is also home to over 100 colleges and universities in the Greater Boston area, including Harvard, M.I.T and Boston College. The city hosts more than 12 million annual visitors from around the world. This vibrant but historical city is renowned for its cultural facilities, world-class educational institutions, champion sports franchises, as well as being at the forefront of American history. Tourism is one of New England's largest industries. As the region's social and commercial 'hub', Boston is the ideal spot for Tamwood's camp. Campers will experience the best that the city has to offer, including: the Boston City Duck Tour, Quincy Market, Boston Common, Prudential Tower Skywalk, the New England Aquarium, Six Flags Amusement Park, Harvard University tour, the Museum of Fine Arts, Cape Cod and the ferry to Martha's Vineyard, Water Wizz Water Park and more. Course Description:
Dates July 1 to 29, 2012
Start Dates July 1, and every Sunday up to July 22, 2012 (minimum one week, maximum four weeks)
Ages 7 to 17 years of age (Open to Groups and Individuals)
English Classes 15 hours per week
On their first day, students are tested and assigned to an English class based on their level. Students follow a carefully designed curriculum that stresses all English skills including speaking, reading, writing, grammar, listening and vocabulary.
Activities and Excursions Campers take part in instructional activities 3 half days a week. Tamwood's certified coaches and teachers lead students in activities like mountain biking, field sports, swimming, arts and crafts, theatre games and leadership skills. In the evenings, students enjoy fun social activities including dance parties, carnivals, photo scavenger hunts, tournaments and more...

Tamwood's Boston camp also includes lots of sightseeing. Each week, campers will enjoy a full day excursion to places such as Six Flags Amusement Park, the high speed ferry to Martha's Vineyard on Cape Cod and Water Wizz Water Park. Campers also go on one or two half-day excursions each week to some famous tourist attractions in Boston. All excursions are included in the price and campers are always supervised by Tamwood's competent and friendly staff.

On Sundays, students in residence have the chance to take part in some optional activities like bike riding along the river, trips to the beach or shopping in the city center.
