Features
This course prepares students for the University of Cambridge ESOL First Certificate (FCE) exam, which students take in the final week of the program. The FCE is at Level 3 of the Cambridge five level system.
Through a balanced curriculum students will expand and reinforce their knowledge of the various skills they utilize in writing the 5 papers set by Cambridge. Practice Exams and compositions are an integral part of the programme.

Features
The Full-Time English in Whistler programme makes use of the integrated approach to language learning. Classes cover all of the essential language skills. Students study Grammar for 1.5 hours, Conversation for 1.5 hours and take a Tutorial for 1 hour every day.
The Grammar Class focuses on teaching new grammar skills and on the important application of these skills through reading, writing and grammar exercises and through communicative grammar activities.
The Conversation Class focuses on language usage through discussions, presentations, listening, speaking and pronunciation and accent reduction
exercises.

Features
From December to April, students study in the Grammar Class (8:30-10:00), the Conversation Class (10:15-11:45) and a Tutorial from 12:00-13:00 in the morning and take a Language Workshop class in the afternoon. The Language Workshop takes place at 16:15, which allows students to have free time for skiing/snowboarding. From May to November, students study in the expanded Grammar (8:45-10:45) and Conversation (11:00-13:00) classes.

Features
Students study in the Grammar Class, the Conversation Class, and a Language Workshop in the afternoon. A unique feature of the Intensive Course is the opportunity to combine English language development with practical Language Workshops that teach on specific language skills. Optional afternoon Language Workshops include “Real” English Skills, Speaking and Listening Skills, Reading and Writing Skills, Pronunciation Skills and Professional Skills.

Features
From December until the end of May, students can combine a Full-time or Semi-Intensive English course with half-day ski or snowboard lessons given by the world famous Whistler Blackcomb Ski and Snowboard School. The Ski and Snowboard School offers instruction to students at all levels from beginner to advanced. Students can purchase their afternoon ski/snowboard lessons in 5 day packages. Lessons and lift tickets are available to Tamwood students only at a special rate.

Description
Students in this "COOP" program improve their English language skills through a combination of English classes, a Job Skills Seminar and a period of full-time paid work in a service position in a Canadian tourism, retail or hospitality company. You can work as many hours as you study. The English Co-OP Program has two program options: the Standard Program Option and the Full Service Option. The Standard Program Option is designed for students who can find their own job with a little help from Tamwood. The Full Service Option is designed so that the student is placed with well established Tamwood approved employer. Employers include ski resorts, major hotels, restaurants, shops, cafes, bars, tour operators, sports providers, summer camps and much more. Jobs are assigned on a first-come, first serve basis so apply soon!

Features
Students can purchase lift tickets to ski or snowboard both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains through Tamwood. Students can purchase weekly lift passes (5 of 6 day passes) or an unlimited full season lift pass. The full season pass allows students to use the lifts 7 days of the week from opening day of the season (last weekend in November) until the regular season ends in late May. The season’s pass also provides free sightseeing on the gondola all summer.
